Blueberry-Chia and Lemon-Ginger Overnight Oats
The title of this recipe is long but it comes together in less than 5 minutes.
Take all your ingredients out, lay out your mason jars and start building these uniquely delicious overnight oats.
In this order, combine directly in each of your mason jars:
Ingredients
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup milk of choice
1/4 cup of blueberries
In a separate bowl, combine and whisk together:
2 cups yogurt (blueberry, vanilla, mango/peach) all work great with these flavour combinations
1/4 cup plain cream cheese (optional) but a delicious addition
Zest of 1 lemon
1 tbsp fresh grated ginger
1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
2 tbsp chia/flax seeds
Once combined, add the yogurt mixture on top of your oats, milk and berries.
You can add more fruit at this stage or simply add:
1/4 cup crunchy granola or in my case, cheerios - because they were all I had.
