Trust the flavours of this hot porridge recipe, it will blow your tastebuds away.
The recipe is built for two bowls but can easily be doubled or tripled for a heavenly and gingerly switch up to breakfast meal prepping!
Oats:
1 1/4 cups of water or milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Bring to a boil.
1 tbsp of peeled ginger, grate or small chop fresh ginger. You can also use powder or jarred ginger.
Add ginger to your hot water.
Add 1/2 cup of large flake oats to boiling water.
Mash one banana.
Chop into smaller pieces, a heavy handful of frozen mango.
Add both fruits to your hot porridge pot as it cooks, stirring every few minutes.
Once the oats have absorbed the liquid, it’s time to dish up!
Portion your oats, add dried fruit such as cranberries or chopped dried mango, coconut flakes, maple syrup and a splash of milk.
