Jerk marinade is so easy to make at home and can go on most anything.
For this recipe application, I’ve used it to marinate pineapple, grilled it and put it on a classic B.L.T. setup, or H.L.T because I forgot to buy bacon that day. I grilled the ham and layered it on to sub out bacon and the results were just as incredible.
Thank you to IG Chef @simplycaribbean1 for their jerk marinade recipe and the permission to use it as part of this sandwich concept.

First, make your marinade in a blender.
Prep your pineapple and cut into 3/4 inch thick slices.
Pour your marinade over your cut pineapple, cover and let them marinate between 30 minutes and 3 hours.
Cook your bacon or ham.
Bring out your favorite mayonnaise, slice your tomatoes and cut and wash your romaine, iceberg lettuce or salad medley.
Fire up your grill or skillet to med-high heat, (no need to oil as there is oil in the marinade), and sear on both sides for a few minutes each.
Toast your bread, and assemble your sandwich.
Enjoy.
